Water is a precious resource, especially in the arid Southwest, this is why San Isidro Permaculture specializes in design, permitting and installation of rainwater harvesting systems. This project involved designing the whole collection, filtration and distribution of the rainwater through an automated drip irrigation system to support a native landscape and fruit orchard. This 10,000 gallon system captures on average 37,000 gallons of rainwater per year, reducing the demand on the local water municipality while supporting a thriving landscape. The catchment tanks where covered with soil and planted with native grasses and wildflowers.
